September

The Clent hills in September...

A fringe of white grass beside the path
But so long as the gorse is in flower, kissing is in season!

What lovely photos! "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness..." eh? :-)

Spring is finally showing up here, with blossom, oxalis in the nature strips and a bit - just a but! - of fine weather.

Glad someone, somewhere is getting a bit of fine weather! It's pouring here again.

Lovely pics! I went away for a week at the end of August and came back to Autumn in the garden. It was a shock - after such a washout summer I don't feel ready!

Tipping it down here too! Thanks for the photos - I love autumn, but you're right Jenny - it's been incredibly abrupt this year!

Nice pictures! An old neighbour of ours told me that saying about gorse - lovely to hear it again. He also said that an old name for pansies was 'Look up and kiss me.' Bit of a theme going on there!

What a lovely name for pansies! 'Pensives' and 'heartsease' are the names I know. You can tell how well-loved these flowers are by the number of names they have.

Lovely :-) Autumn is such an underrated time of year and it's not ALL about kicking through crunchy drifts of russet leaves ... :-)
